WISE Unlockdown Edition 2020
From 22 - 26 June, I participated in the WISE Unlockdown Edition 2020. WISE is a workshop for professional interpreters who come together to work on their professional skills. This year's workshop was entirely held online, due to the global Lock-Down Situation. This gave us interpreters the opportunity to not only enhance our interpreter skills, but to also gain important experiences in working remotely. Colleagues from all over Europe created a hardworking, yet relaxed online atmosphere. I had the most amazing time meeting new colleagues, improving my language skills, sharing ideas about our profession and what it will look like in the future, and practicing remote interpreting.
Thank you to José Sentamans and Joe Burbidge for the excellent organisation and the great week!

English in the Caribbean for Interpreters
(29th of April 2020) - In January 2020 I had the amazing opportunity to discover the beautiful Caribbean Island of Barbados and participate in the 60-hours blended-learning course "English in the Caribbean for Interpreters" at the University of the West Indies.
I wrote an article about my experience for the VKD-Kurier, which you can access here (newspaper of the German Association of Conference Interpreters, Page 25 and 26, in German only):
